Emmett, Mildred M. (Placido) of Winthrop, passed away on June 2, 2023 at the age of 99 at the Advocate Health Care Center in East Boston.
Loving daughter of the late Terrance and Mary (Morrissey) Placido.
Beloved wife of the late Vincent Emmett.
Devoted mother of James Davis and his wife Diane, Maureen Davis, Darlene Ferrara and her husband Frank and the late Frank Davis and his surviving wife Roberta.
Dear sister of the late Dorothy Kincade.
Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service honoring Millie's life will be held at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga St., Orient Heights, East Boston on Saturday, June 10th from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Mille retired from New England Telephone/Verizon in 1989 and was a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers. She had made many wonderful friendships through her years at the Telephone Company. She enjoyed her family especially and loved sharing wonderful memories.
The family would like to say special thank you's to the caregivers and staff at Advocate Health Care, Care Dimensions, and Winthrop PACE for their wonderful support through this time.
