Miguel Marrero, formerly of East Boston passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday January 21 at the age of 61. He fought a courageous battle.
Miguel was a jack of all trades and a talented master carpenter for over 40 years. He will be remembered as a beautiful soul, loving husband and devoted father and friend to all. His big heart, generosity and charismatic personality will be missed by many.
Beloved husband of Alessandra (Gaeta) Marrero with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.
Cherished and devoted son to Maria Del Carmen Vega and the late Johnny Marrero.
Loving father to Christina Marrero, Michelle Casey, Michael Marrero & Nicholas Marrero.
Dear brother to Juan Marrero of Brockton and Jose Perez of Florida.
Doting nephew to Hermina and the late Benjamin Vega.
Adored son in law to Martha Gaeta.
Dearest brother in law to Regina, Derek, Gerard, Dante, and Jessica.
Loved and admired Uncle to Stephanie, Gabriella, Isabella and Derek.
Cherished grandfather of Ava and Kieran Casey and Zoey Marie Marrero.
He is also lovingly survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Miguel's bigger than life personality will never be forgotten for those that knew and loved him.
Family and friends will honor Miguel's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St. on Thursday January 27th from 3:00PM to 7:00PM and again on Friday morning at 9:30AM before leaving in funeral procession to St. Joseph - St. Lazarus Church 59 Ashley St., East Boston for an 11AM funeral mass in celebration of Miguel's life. Services will conclude with Miguel being laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery.
