In Loving Memory of Michael "Catman" Cataldo January 11, 1966 - September 12, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Cataldo, who left us on September 12, 2023, at the age of 57. Born on January 11, 1966, in East Boston, Michael was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of laughter and camaraderie.

Michael grew up in East Boston and was the son of the late William and Loretta Cataldo. He is survived by his adoring daughters, Gina Ciampa and Catherine Cockrell, who were the lights of his life. Michael was also a loving brother to Diane Correnti and Mark Cataldo, both of whom he shared countless memories and experiences with.

Professionally, Michael was a dedicated member of Local 6 Insulators Union, where he worked diligently and built lasting relationships with his colleagues. 

Outside of work, Michael was a proud and lifelong member of the East Boston Yacht Club and the Beachmont VFW. These organizations were more than just clubs to him; they were his extended family, and he relished the camaraderie and friendships he formed there.

Michael's zest for life was contagious, and he was known for being the life of the party. His passion for motorcycles and unwavering loyalty to the Pittsburgh Steelers were legendary, and he shared these interests with friends and family whenever he could. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he made every gathering brighter with his presence.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Michael's life during visiting hours on Sunday, September 17, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, located at 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Michael's memory to Boston's Wounded Vet Run 60 Paris St. East Boston, as he believed in giving back to his community and helping those in need.

Michael Cataldo's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, his infectious laughter, and his unwavering love for family and friends. Rest in peace, Michael, and may your soul find eternal serenity.
