Margarita "Margo" Sanchez Ramos

Margarita “Margo” Sanchez Ramos, resident of Randolph, MA passed away on November 30, 2022 at the age of 73.  

She was born in Cataño, Puerto Rico, to mother Leoncia Roche and father Tomas Ramos, and she kept her childhood roots and love of  Puerto Rico throughout her life.  

Margo was married to Jose Sánchez Vasallo. Together they raised their four children - Wanda, Javier, Melissa and Jonathan - first in Santurce, Puerto Rico before moving to New York and shortly after to New Jersey.  

After 12 years they returned to Puerto Rico where they taught their children the joys of Puerto Rican culture.   

Later in life, Margo returned to Massachusetts to care for her 3 grandchildren, Edgar, Edwin, and Ezekiel.  During this time she met her partner Daniel Rivera with whom she established the second chapter of her life.  

Margo was best know for being the neighborhood mom, always willing to lend an ear or “spare change” to anyone in need.  She was a great listener and had a big heart for all regardless of race, color, or religion.  Interacting with children and seeing them grow up around her was a source of great joy.  Everywhere Margo went she created strong bonds to her community and never lost sight of the friends she made along the way.   Her smile will be missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Services celebrating her life on Saturday, December 10 at 12:00 noon Ruggiero Family Home 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston MA. 02128.

Margarita “Margo” Sanchez Ramos, residente de Randolph, MA falleció el 30 de noviembre del 2022 a la edad de 73 años. Nació en Cataño, Puerto Rico, de madre Leoncia Roche y padre Tomas Ramos y mantuvo sus raíces de infancia y amor a su Isla del Encanto durante toda su vida. Margo estuvo casada con José Sánchez Vasallo. Juntos criaron a sus cuatro hijos, Wanda, Javier, Melissa y Jonathan, primero en Santurce, Puerto Rico antes de mudarse a Nueva York y poco después a Nueva Jersey. Después de 12 años regresaron a sus raíces en Puerto Rico, donde  le enseñaron a hijos la culture Puertorriqueña.  Más adelante en su vida, Margo regresó a Massachusetts para cuidar a sus 3 nietos, Edgar, Edwin y Ezekiel. Durante en ese tiempo conoció a su pareja Daniel Rivera con quien entablecio el segundo capítulo de su vida.

Margo era mejor conocida por ser la madre del vecindario, siempre dispuesta a prestar atención o ofrecer el “menudito” a cualquiera que lo necesitara. Tenia un gran corazón para todos sin importar raza, color o religión. Interactuar con los niños y verlos crecer a su alrededor fue motivo de gran alegría. Dondequiera que fue, Margo creó fuertes lazos con su comunidad y nunca perdió de vista a los amigos que hizo en el camino. Su sonrisa será extrañada por todos los que la conocieron.
