Maddalena Aliberti Obituary

Maddalena Aliberti, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born on November 25, 1942, to the late Aniello Calabrese and Giovannina Cardaropoli in Italy. Maddalena was the loving wife of the late Vittorio Aliberti, and she is survived by her daughters Leonilde Sclafani and her husband Vincenzo, and Alfonsina Aliberti. She was a proud grandmother to Philip Bulla, Victoria Ackles, and Giuseppina Sclafani.

Maddalena's life was deeply rooted in family. She emigrated from Italy to the United States in 1975 with her husband and children, seeking a better life and new opportunities. They first settled in East Boston before moving to Revere, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Maddalena's devotion to her family was unwavering. Her life was a testament to the importance of family bonds. She put her children and then her grandchildren at the center of her world, always ready with love, wisdom, and guidance. Maddalena's nurturing spirit and caring nature were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her immediate family, Maddalena is survived by her sisters: Teresa Esposito and the late Giuseppe, Antonietta DeFilippo and the late Mario, Pasqualina Grimaldi and her husband Gennaro, Anna Maria Leone and her husband Giuseppe, and Giovanni Calabrese and his wife Elisa. She was a source of love and support for her extended family, including numerous nieces and nephews.

A wake to celebrate Maddalena's life will be held on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, located at 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston. On Tuesday morning, a funeral service will begin at 8:30 AM at the funeral home, followed by a procession to St. Anthony's Church in Revere for a 10:00 AM funeral mass. The service will conclude with her entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Maddalena Aliberti leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and strong bonds. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
