Lawrence Perrotta Obituary

Lawrence E. Perrotta (Larry) was a devoted family man who passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024 at the age of 82 leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He was the son of the late Alexander and Eleanor (Harrington) Perrotta. He lived in East Boston, formerly of Cambridge and Winthrop.

Larry was a loving father to his children Michael Perrotta and his wife Marjanna of Winthrop, Deborah Reardon and husband Robert of Winchester, and Derek Perrotta and wife Sera of Shrewsbury. He cherished every moment spent with his family, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Larry is also survived by his former wife, Barbara L. Perrotta the mother of his children.

As a proud grandfather, Larry took great delight in the company of his grandchildren: Matthew and his wife Lia, Marissa, Robert Jr., Sochia, Shannon, Rachel, Katherine (Katie), Sean, Michael James "MJ" and Luke. He was a source of wisdom, guidance, laughter, and endless love to each of them, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured forever.

Larry was also a dear brother to Dianne Rice and belated husband Ed, Paul Perrotta and his wife Bridget, and Adeline Moscato and her husband Gerry. In addition to his immediate family, Larry is survived by his nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly.

A proud member of Plumbers Local #12, Larry served as its past president, embodying a strong sense of camaraderie and dedication to his fellow members. He was highly respected for his leadership and commitment to the organization.

In his leisure time, Larry enjoyed traveling the country in his RV, exploring new destinations, and creating cherished memories with his beloved family. He was always trying new things; acting classes in Boston which led to onstage performances, getting his Class A truck driver’s license, and line dancing to name a few.

He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored dearly. Larry took great pride in his family and their accomplishments, finding happiness in their successes and milestones.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, February 23, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston.
