Gatta, Josephine R., of East Boston, passed away on February 25, 2024.
Loving daughter of the late Angelo and Frances (Riccobene) Santosuosso.
Beloved wife of the late Richard Gatta.
Devoted mother of Richard Gatta Jr. and wife Denise, and Carol Govostes.
Cherished sister of John and Richard Santosuosso, and the late Domenic, Rose, Vera and Alfred.
Adored grandmother of Tanya Farrohi and husband Daniel, and Derek Curtin Jr. and wife Kylie.
Family and friends will honor Josephine's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston, on Friday, March 1st from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Church for an 11:00 AM funeral mass. Services will conclude with Josephine being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
Josephine loved spending time with her family. She also loved her trips to Encore Casino, where she could stay for hours.
