Giuseppe "Joe" Piazza, of East Boston, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday January 8th, 2022 at the age of 71.

Beloved husband of Mariangela Piazza.

Devoted father of Salvatore Piazza and wife Melissa of Coconut Creek, Florida and Ian Michael Richards of Maine.

Dear brother of Franco, Nino, Mario and Giovanni Piazza.

Adored grandfather of Salvatore Piazza Jr.

Cherished godfather of Donna Passanisi.

Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will honor Joe's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home 971 Saratoga St., East Boston on Wednesday January 12th from 9:00AM to 10:00AM followed by a funeral procession to Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA where Joe will be laid to rest.

Giuseppe immigrated to the US from Sicily in 1970 to be with the love of his life Mariangela. They married shortly after he arrived and settled in Somerville. Later in life, they moved to East Boston where they raised their family. Joe was a talented painter. He enjoyed trips to the casino. He loved visiting his son in Florida and enjoyed going to the beach. In his recent years, he battled a respiratory infection but remained strong, determined and loyal to his family. He will be missed by all.
