Francesco Gammuto

Francesco Gammuto, of East Boston, passed away peacefully on June 6 at Katzman Family Living Center in Chelsea. He was 92 years old.

Franceso was born in Ariana, Italy, December 2, 1930. He is the son of the late Giuseppe and Assunta (Ariano) Gammuto of Italy. Francesco came to America in April 1969, with his son wife Filomena and son Giuseppe. He worked many years in construction before retiring.

He is the beloved husband of the late Filomena Gammuto. He has one son, Giuseppe, and his daughter-in-law Marie, of East Boston. Francesco has one grandson, the late Francis J. Gammuto. He has two siblings, a sister, August of Ariano, Italy, and a brother, Augustine of Germany. He is survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy. 

Family and friends will honor Francesco's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, (Orient Heights) East Boston on Friday, June 10th from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. before leaving in procession to Saint Anthony of Padua Church, Revere, for a funeral Mass celebrating Francesco's life at 12:00 Noon. Services will conclude with Francesco being laid to rest with his beloved wife, Filomena, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. May they rest in peace.
