Clarissa Ann Russell, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength. Born on January 11, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Dianne (Happnie) Russell.
Clarissa is survived by her devoted husband, Marc Smith Sr., her children Marc Smith Jr. and Sophiya Smith, her sister Kimberly Russell, her granddaughter Angelina and her niece Lajanae Russell. She was a cherished presence in the lives of her family members and leaves behind countless loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Throughout her life, Clarissa dedicated herself to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She served as a longtime Certified Dental Assistant at Aspen Dental, where her warmth and kindness touched the lives of countless patients. Additionally, Clarissa was a valued member of the Recovery Community, where she offered support, guidance, and empathy to those on their journey to wellness.
Clarissa had a passion for cooking, and she especially enjoyed preparing her signature dish, baked mac and cheese, which brought joy to family gatherings and shared meals. Her culinary creations were a reflection of her nurturing spirit and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved.
Above all, Clarissa will be remembered as a mother to all. Her selflessness, compassion, and unwavering love touched the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
A memorial visitation to honor Clarissa's life will be held at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston on Sunday, April 21, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Though she may no longer be with us in person, Clarissa's spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of all who were blessed to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace.
